English singer Maxi Priest has re-signed a contract with his former label, Virgin Records. Sources close to the singer said he is about to finalize the album that should be released by Virgin this year. Priest released his first album, "You're Safe", on the same label in 1985. He recorded six more albums until Virgin ended its contract with him in 2000.

With Virgin he scored several hits such as "Close To You", "House Call", "Set The Night To Music", "That Girl", "Just a Little Bit Longer" and "Wild World". The singer has been to Brazil several times, drawing his largest audience in Salvador, where he played for more than 30,000 people at the Summer Festival.
