Mad Professor, major name in global dub, remixes Marcelinho da Lua's album! Check it here on Surforeggae!

It seems that Brazil is where the "craziness" will happen, as one of the most respected names in Reggae/Dub, Mad Professor, is in Rio this week to remix at DeckDisc label's studio the first solo CD by DJ Marcelinho da Lua, "Tranqüilo". Marcelinho, who contacted Mad, showed him some tracks by phone, but never imagined the entire album would be remixed.

According to Mad Professor, who has recorded more than 300 albums in his 25-year career, he speaks with authority about the quality of Cuban music and, above all, Brazilian music. He also says that American and English sameness makes him and other artists look for new trends in our market. Mad Professor will mix the album in his own studio in London. The result can be heard on the CD "Tranqüilo Remixed by Mad Professor", scheduled for release this semester.
