República do Reggae brings Gregory Isaacs, Lucky Dube and other stars to Salvador! Surforeggae promotion!

República do Reggae, an event that made its debut last year in Salvador bringing Alpha Blondy and other national Reggae heavyweights, is back. In its second edition, the novelty is that the party will take place over 2 days and this time will bring two heavyweight international attractions, besides many standout artists from the Brazilian scene. The nights of November 13 and 20 this year will be marked by the positive vibration of Roots Reggae. South African star Lucky Dube is the international attraction on the 13th. The singer arrived together with his band in São Paulo on Friday, November 5, for the Brazilian tour that will also pass through Salvador, Curitiba and Feira de Santana (BA). Besides Lucky, Tribo de Jah, Nengo Vieira, Geraldo Cristal, Reggae Style, Arthur Cardoso (ex-Adão Negro) and Ed Vox will perform on the first day of "República do Reggae 2". The second night of "República do Reggae 2" will take place on the 20th, and will feature veteran Gregory Isaacs. Gregory is one of the best-known Jamaicans in the world and has always dedicated himself to romantic songs, which earned him the title of King of "Lovers Rock" (the most romantic style of Reggae). This is the artist's third appearance in Salvador, where he was already in 1998 and 2000. To complete the night's lineup, shows by Natiruts, Edson Gomes, Adão Negro, Planta e Raiz and Tim Tim Gomes will take place. The trend today is the growth of the event, which last year brought almost 30 thousand people to Ipitanga beach with Alpha Blondy and other icons of National Reggae. Expectations for this year are even higher, since there was considerable investment in promotion and in booking heavyweight attractions. Through a partnership between Surforeggae and PIDA!
