Dia de

After Reação, Nação Regueira, it was Moziah's turn last Tuesday the 9th, the band had a place in the sun in Rede Globo's highly contested programming. The objective of the "dia de banda" segment is to show the originality and mix of Brazilian independent music. Reggae, which has already gained great space in the broadcaster's news program, shares the screen with the most varied rhythms, rock and all its subdivisions, forró pé-de-serra, a cappella MPB, chorinho, mangue-bit, MPB with blues, electric blues, root samba, rap, groove...

And it doesn't stop there, editor João Lima, who selects the bands, declares he wants more. Show the variation of each style and still tear open the least publicized styles, he said everything is valid without prejudice, the only requirements when selecting are: that the band be in "garage" format, that is, a group of friends who get together to make music, easy! Since the best bands are formed that way!

The best part of this whole story comes now, because João Lima also said he doesn't want bands formed by initiatives of any businessman, producer or someone already established on the music scene in any way. Bands must be totally independent, with their own compositions and of course, if it's a cover, only with a lot, but a lot of originality!
The success of the segment and the good performance of bands representing Reggae Music will be celebrated at the end of the year with a special program with the confirmed presence of band Nação Regueira representing the musical style.

Since the space is extremely contested, the program reserves the right to choose. Unfortunately, it's not possible to accommodate everyone who contacts them. Lima explains: "...because, given the success of the segment, we would have to 'drop' all other reports and show only bands, in all editions..."

The space is open, Reggae bands that fit the criteria above, go for it! How to get in touch?
No need to call TV Globo. The ideal is to send an email to jornalhoje@redeglobo.com.br, with as much information as possible: band name, city and state of origin, style, proposal, who the members are, if they already have a CD, who wrote the songs, where rehearsals take place, who funds or sponsors. And don't forget phones and contact emails and website, if any.

Access now: Jornal Hoje "Dia de Banda" and watch the feature with Moziah.
