New label in town, new ideologies and a heavy release for national reggae! Check it out!

2005 will start off busy for the national reggae scene. AZ Records, a record label focused exclusively on reggae, arrives to separate the wheat from the chaff. Aiming for conscious lyrics and original arrangements, the tendency is for only bands with interesting particularities to come together, which would recycle our Brazilian reggae, even making quality musicians who are still obscure emerge. The first privileged one was the band Alma Zion, who started performing their shows to launch the album "Distante da Babilônia" on AZ records. The artistic part of the album was handled by the Surforeggae art department and the artist, Tito. Exclusively for the Surforeggae crowd, the band provided 3 songs for download. Enjoy the weight of this national reggae force and stay tuned for the 2005 news from AZ records... big names are arriving.Babylon, Watch Out! * The CD cover and label are quite romantic, reminiscent of old anthological reggae albums, such as those from Studio One.
