JAHcareggae releases CD "Ao Vivo" at DeSkaReggae/BH

The night of Thursday, August 4th, promises to be very positive, as the bandJAHcareggaearrives atBelo Horizonteto launch their new work, the album “Ao Vivo”. The show will be the band's 4th performance on theProjeto DeSkaReggaestage, carried out by the producerRaiz De Jah. In all the shows held in the capital of Minas Gerais,JAHcareggaemade it clear why they are one of the most respected reggae bands in Brazil. As a result of the great performances atDeSkaReggae, the regueiro audience atBelo HorizonteconsidersJAHcareggaeto be a reference band on the national reggae scene. The band's new work was recorded in February this year, at the “Marina Hall” concert hall, inBrasília. This recording was watched by more than 2,500 people. The CD's repertoire includes classic songs by the band such as: “Vibes A Rasta” (requested champion onDeSkaReggae), “Caminho Da Glória”, “Fusão” and “Six São”. In addition to the unreleased “Playing JAH Justice”, “Soul Roots” and “Primeira Pedra”, which have never been on anyJAHcareggaealbum. The CD also features a bonus track recorded at a show held at the “IV Encontro de Culturas Tradicionais” event, held atChapada dos Veadeiros(Alto Paraíso/Goiás) in June 2004.

Dj Rafa: Firstly, I want to congratulate the band and familyJAHcareggaefor the great work done through reggae music and the fight for a more dignified world for everyone. How did the idea of ​​recording a live CD come about? BandJAHcareggae: Thanks for the VIBERafa... It was completely by chance. We have the habit of recording our presentations, in order to perfect and remember the good and bad moments. The CD was put on the market because many people praised the presentation and the band's fans were asking a lot for the current material, the songs we played at shows, but we don't have on CD. We are already recording the new studio CD and it will be released at the end of the year. Dj Rafa: How does it feel to see thatJAHcareggae's work has great appreciation and a large audience outside the band's hometown and theSão Paulo– Rio axis? An example of this is the song “Vibes A Rasta”, which when played onDeSkaReggaeis accompanied by the audience in chorus. JAHcareggaeBand: It's a divine sensation, but it's only worth it because it is made forJAH. We don't want to please to make things look nice, but rather do our best in worshiping God, because we should be grateful for all the positive vibration!!! Nowadays we are already able to reach the Rio -São Pauloaxis, through our fans and friends, in addition to the valuable exchange between the bands. There are people who enjoy our sound in Goiânia, inBrasília, inMinas Gerais, inEspírito Santo,Rio de Janeiroand inSanta Catarina. Now onSão Paulopeople can enjoy the radioJAH fm, which has 100% Reggae programming.  Dj Rafa: This Thursday's show will be the band's fourth performance on theDeSkaReggaestage. What's it like playing onBelo Horizonte? Something special? What's the vibration? BandJAHcareggae: The fourth of many others, if God allows... We can say that inBH, we feel at home, becauseROD(keyboardist) is from Minas Gerais,Vera(vocalist and keyboardist) was raised inBHand my brother and I (RastaelandJAHbriel) are grandchildren of Minas Gerais, so good land! Even more so due to the always very calm reception thatDeskareggaeoffers us and the people who are valuing Reggae made with love.  Dj Rafa: What does the band have in store for theDeSkaReggaeaudience? Can you anticipate some stones that will roll? BandJAHcareggae: Our new repertoire is based on the LIVE CD, but for the first time inBHwe will have brass arrangements, the trumpets always make a huge difference. We will still be paying homage, as always, to Reggae icons such as:Israel Vibration,Bob MarleyandMorgan Heritage. Besides, it's the release of the CD, and we'll be raffling off some copies for those present.  Dj Rafa: Finally, I would like the band and theJAHcareggaefamily to leave a message for everyone, and especially for the Minas Gerais public who will enjoy the release of the band's CDAo VivoonDeSkaReggae, onBelo Horizonte.
