Ponto de Equilíbrio, Adão Negro, Cidade Negra and Dissidência represent reggae at Madre Fest 2007 - BA!

Madre Fest, the Cidade de Madre de Deus - BA music festival, will feature four Reggae attractions. The event will take place from January 5th to 27th, 2007, being promoted by Prefeitura Municipal de Madre de Deus. Entry is free and the public will be able to enjoy more than 30 acts of different musical styles.

Reggae will be very well represented by four major attractions. From Bahia, the nationally known band Adão Negro, successful on radio stations across the country and with a very large audience wherever they go, in addition to Banda Dissidência do Recôncavo Baiano also well known in the state. The other two attractions come directly from Rio de Janeiro - Ponto de Equilíbrio and Cidade Negra. Ponto de Equilíbrio will perform its second show in the state after being successful at the renowned República do Reggae festival in Salvador.

Adão Negro, Ponto de Equilíbrio and Dissidência will perform on the 19th of January alongside other attractions, while Cidade Negra will take the stage on the 20th. Congratulations to Prefeitura Municipal de Madre de Deus for promoting an event of such magnitude and mainly for supporting Reggae, which, even though it is still very discriminated against, has appeared in events of great magnitude such as Madre Fest 2007.
