Direct from Jamaica: The Lone Ranger in a one-off show in Rio!

Before Yellowman mastered the reggae scene in the early 1980s, his path was paved by Lone Ranger, who - along with other artists like Ranking Joe, Mikey Dread, Clint Eastwood and Toyan - revolutionized the language of Jamaican music from the 1970s creating the direct style of modern dancehall. Lone Ranger's first albums were released on the most important Jamaican label, Studio 1 by legendary producer Coxsone Dodd (the same one that released Bob Marley), but when he started working with another producer, Alvin Ranglin, who reached his biggest hit "Barnabas Collins"- reached number one on the Jamaican and British charts. Being one of Kingston's top MCs, the Virgo Hi Fi was considered the best sound system of 1980. In the following years worked several of the most important artists in the reggae scene as Horace Andy, Dennis Brown, Slim Smith, the Gladiators, Sly & Robbie, among others. His numerous hits such as "M-16", "The Answer", "Love Bump", "Rose Marie", "Tribute To Marley", "Coolie Dub". and many more, made it one of the most influential performers for an entire next generation of mcs. On Wednesday, day 25, THE LONE RANGER will perform exclusively in Rio within the DIGITALDUBS festival, which takes place at Casa da Matriz, and is the only party exclusively dedicated to Jamaican rhythms such as Reggae, Dancehall and Dub.
