Gaúcha band Chimarruts records CD and DVD live in Curitiba! All about the event!

The band from Rio Grande do Sul Chimarruts has built its career focusing on its own songs. The strong influence of pop and Brazilian music in general, made his songs become soft melodies to the ears, overcoming prejudices and attracting new fans to reggae music. This was the difference that made the group reach seven years of career and score so many hits on the radio. With three Cds already released, Chimarruts will record its first DVD on June 30th at the Curitiba Master Hall venue. DVD will be managed by Beto Oliveira, from Sindicato Paralelo, who has already signed works by bands such as Racionais MCs, Charlie Brown Jr., Biquíni Cavadão, among others. Musical production will be handled by Nilo Romero, who brings with him work carried out with big names in music such as Cazuza, Kid Abelha and Engenheiros do Hawaii. The album's set list will include new songs and the band's greatest hits, such as “Chapéu de Palha”, “Iemanjá”, “Floripa”, “Pra Ela”, “Deixa Chover”, “Nova Ordem”, “Versos Simples”, “Pitanga” and “Saber Voar”. Furthermore, DVD will contain a documentary directed by Gustavo Tissot, from Subversivo Filmes, with testimonials, behind-the-scenes images from shows, the group's travels and recording. DVD will be recorded on a system compatible with Digital TV, which will hit the market soon. The national release of this work, in CD and DVD, will be carried out by the record label EMI Music. To help fans, CAFE – Central de Atendimento ao Fã Enlouquecido was created - a hot website that provides all the necessary information about the event, such as ticket sales points, addresses and useful telephone numbers.
