12th REGADO A REGGAE marks Municipal Reggae Day in Itanhaém!

The traditional festival "Regado a Reggae" heads into 2017 for its 12th edition, and this year marks the celebration of the first "Municipal Reggae Day" in the city of Itanhaém, made official by Law No. 4.119, dated September 21, 2016. One of the largest and most traditional festivals of the reggae segment in the country, the event has, year after year, consolidated itself as a global reference, becoming a mandatory stop for big names on the world reggae scene.

HEAVYWEIGHT HISTORY

Names such as Original Wailers, Pato Banton, Big Mountain, Isiah Shaka, as well as the Brazilian acts Cidade Negra, Maskavo, Chimarruts, Tribo de Jah, among others, have already played at the festival, with more than 70 shows held. "Regado a Reggae" is organized by the Municipal Government of Itanhaém and is free of charge, aiming to spread the culture of the rhythm across the country. The growth of the event brought the city recognition as the "reggae capital of São Paulo."

2017 EDITION

This year, Regado a Reggae will take place on January 6, 7 and 8 (starting at 18:00) at Praia dos Pescadores, one of the most beautiful beaches on the São Paulo coast. This year's lineup brings standout names such as Tribo de Jah, Cidade Verde Sounds, Queen Omega, Afrodizia and much more.
