Learn how the gospel reggae band Christafari's performance in São Paulo went!
São Paulo - 11/30/2007, a queue stretches along Rua Turiassu, in the Perdizes neighborhood, more precisely at the Bola de Neve Church. Reason: Reggae night with Nengo Vieira and Californian band Christafari. With two decades of existence, Christafari has already played at two Olympic games and even for the president of the USA. The band came to Brazil to promote the album 'To the Foundation' in a super show that will result in the recording of a DVD with the special participation of Avion Blackman and Solomon Jabby. Avion, in fact, won the award for best album and best female vocalist in the entire Caribbean in 2006. A night to remember, as it was a date in which people who had never set foot in a Church were impacted and the name of the Lord was glorified once again. The opening of the show was performed by the always full of love in the heart Nengo Vieira. The show was vibrant and featured a special appearance by the metalhead (trumpet, trombone and sax) from Christafari in the song “A Vida”. Right after the Bahian singer's performance, Christafari took the stage. Happy, dancing and very communicative, this was the vocalist Mark Mohr. The quality of the band's musicians and Mohr's stage presence were indisputable, the vocalist, at each break from one song to another, ministered biblical messages and spoke about the love of Jesus. The band is Californian, but the rhythm wasn't surf music – it was total reggueira! As a regueiro with a regueiro they get along, Nengo Vieira took the stage to sing a song with the foreign band. It was the first time this had happened, but the impression was that Christafari and Nengo Vieira had already played together many times, such was the harmony between them. For recording the DVD there was a structure of enormous quality. With state-of-the-art equipment, the Bola de Neve Church currently has a pioneering sound system in Brazil and a reference base for many reputable companies in the market. The structure of the video system is also entirely owned by the Church. “A structure that will mark a new audio-visual era” guaranteed Túllio Almeida, general coordinator Bola TV. This entire structure has a single objective: to glorify the name of Jesus Cristo by doing our best to bring people who do not know the Lord closer to Him. Mohr ended the show without first inviting all those who have never walked with Christ: "Look inside your heart and examine yourself. Where do you want to spend eternity?... If you want to invite Jesus into your heart, say this prayer with me" called the vocalist. In the encore request, Christafari shared the stage with Pastora Denise and Aninha from Tribo de Louvor. Reggae night transformed into worship!
