On a night with Solano Jacob, the spotlight falls on diva Queen Omega! Check details on Surforeggae!
On April 24th, Expresso Brasil shook with the performance of international singer Queen Omega, directly from Trinidad e Tobago. The royal empress gave a unique performance, showing the audience the full potential of her voice. While names like Negra Li, Monte Zion, Junior Dread, Kukki Lughon, David Hubbard, Dada Yute and Solano Jacob, who celebrated the success and official release of their CD "A Fé e a Razão" and eponymous book, performed on stage, those passing by backstage could hear the sound of the perfect treble of Queen Omega in your warm-up. After shaking the audience with her incredible performance, Negra Li told Surforeggae that she was impressed with the vocal power and simplicity of Queen Omega, with whom she intends to keep in touch in the name of a future partnership. In her first performance at Brasil, the "queen" was sophisticated and dynamic, attracting the most eclectic ears with her tour, "The Royal Empress". The support band for Queen Omega and his beautiful voice sounded cohesive during the show, which was made even more special due to the charisma and energy of this big name in global reggae. The repertoire mixed tracks from his impeccable works, starting with "Love ya Color", "Big up Papa", "Simplicity" and "Away from Babylon". As could not be missed, the singer sent the audience into a frenzy with the songs "Ganja Baby" and "Warning" which features the singer Sizzla. Hits like "Revolution", "Jah amazing Grace", "No Retire" and "Judgement" were also part of the show. The royal empress ended the brilliant performance with the song "Selassie I know", enjoying a chilling reception from the audience. 100% approval! The result of this "visit" by Queen Omega could not have been better, which gives us hope that not only her, but other big international names will put Brasil on their presentation route. Oh of course, just for a change, the main attraction at Expresso Brasil arrived at approximately 5 am. "Clap, clap, clap, clap..."  Thanks to Nadine Dub and Paulinha Irie for writing this article.
