Starting its 6th edition, Regado a Reggae enters the new decade, successfully achieving the proposal of democratizing access to reggae culture. The biggest and most democratic reggae festival of the São Paulo summer will have its first international edition in 2010, and will be held over 2 days - the 23rd and 24th of January. On stage, Cidade Negra, one of the great icons of national reggae, anticipating the release of his new CD - “Que assim Seja” - scheduled for March this year, and none other than The Original Wailers, with the presence of Junior Marvin and Al Anderson, from the legendary formation that wrote the history of reggae alongside Bob Marley.
The reception is hosted by Afrodizia, the band that created the project. With two international tours and CDs released in Latin America and Europe, the band year after year stands out for increasingly expanding national reggae throughout the world. Afrodizia will open both nights, returning to the Itanhaém stage after a 2009 full of positive energy.
The Regado a Reggae program, specially prepared for São Paulo's anniversary holiday, is completely free and is part of the Summer Itanhaém 2010 activities. Come and enjoy the good vibes in the reggae capital of São Paulo!
