Eek-a-Mouse: One of the most peculiar figures of world reggae captivates Expresso Brasil in SP!
Despite the cold night, the public was faithful when Reggae returned to Expresso Brasil in São Paulo. In what was the only chance for the São Paulo public (at least on this tour) to see one of the biggest (also due to its 2m height) names in the world Reggae, the local attractions also represented very well. Welcoming the public, the band Império Ras was the first to perform. Right from the first chords, the public started to show up, and by the end of the band's show, Expresso Brasil already left a feeling of fullness. Much anticipated, the band Mato Seco satisfied the audience in the East Zone of São Paulo, where in 2009, when the CD was released, the Expresso Brasil was packed to capacity.
(Introducing Mato Seco)
Presenting their biggest hits such as "Navegantes da Ilusão" and the most recent, "Seco Mas não Morto", "Tem Que Viver" and "Jah Sabe, Jah Vê", the band lit up Expresso with a great performance and a show full of audio-visual details. Mato Seco has established itself as one of the five biggest Reggae bands in Brazil and has traveled throughout all regions of the country, always winning over a legion of fans. Then, Leões de Israel takes the stage, warming up the audience with sounds like "Etnia", the classic "Me Gwaan" and "Show me Your Love" - in the best Junior Murvin style of singing. Leões, which has established itself as one of the main Brazilian "backing bands", accompanying names like Clinton Fearon, Gregory Isaacs and Pablo Moses also did the honors of the house for Eek-a-Mouse. And the moral doesn't stop there. The band was also invited for the second time to perform at the Jamaican festival "Reggae Sumfest 2010", and negotiations are already being made.

From the dressing room, the Jamaican Ripton Hylton, or popularly Eek-a-Mouse, lavished friendliness and attention on his fans, showing that in addition to singing, he has a keen sense of humor. After checking in the mirror, Eek approves of the cowboy look - hat and everything - letting out a characteristic "Eeeeh-haaaa", and leaves for the stage. Leões prepared the audience for what was to come with a sensational medley of Eek's biggest classics, such as "Wa Do Dem", "Ganja Smuggling" and "Juicy Juicy, Weedy Weedy". Opening with "Crime", Eek-a-Mouse performed one of the most hilarious and classic shows ever seen in São Paulo. Despite being little known by the public present, Eek was very well received and thrilled with the audience, with whom he interacts all the time. Eek received several gifts such as berets, scarves, flags, using everything that was lovingly thrown at him.In the repertoire, songs like "Assassinator", "Terrorists in The City" and "Black Cowboy" made everyone vibrate. The girls who were on the side of the stage and in the box didn't escape and were invited by the Jamaican to dance with him and the band to the song "Ganja Smuggling", which was one of the most hilarious moments of the performance. Congratulations to the organizers for this unprecedented attraction, and now other cities in Brazil are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Eek-a-Mouse!
