SOJA returns to Brazil at the end of the year for its new tour, "Born in Babylon"!
After three successful tours through South America and consolidated as one of the two biggest international reggae attractions in Brazil, SOJA returns to Brazilian lands in 2010 with many new developments. The band is now celebrating the success of the new album "Born in Babylon", released in Brazil by Selo Surforeggae, and the recent tour through Europe, which took them to the largest centers and audiences of the old continent. The success of tracks such as "I Don’t Wanna Wait" and "You And Me" yielded two beautiful music videos, played and requested with astonishing frequency on the biggest TV channels, such as MTV and E-Music Network. Influenced by various musical strands, such as R&B, Hip-hop, Rock and authentic Jamaican Roots Reggae, the SOJA phenomenon transcends the barriers of musical genres, pleasing fans of the most diverse preferences and cultural backgrounds.
The group’s success can be proven through songs like "True Love" (whose video on YouTube with the Portuguese translation already has more than 3 million and 400 thousand views) and "I Don’t Wanna Wait", a hit on radio stations in Europe, United States and Brazil. The group has a pair of very talented singers who complement each other and a first-rate team of musicians. While Jacob Hemphill has a soft and calm voice, Bob Jefferson carries all the energy of Hip-hop and Ragga influences, making the band even more captivating in the various strands of Reggae such as Roots, Dub and Raggamuffin. The band is already recording a new album, and on the "Born In Babylon" tour in Brazil, new songs will already be in the repertoire. In addition, the recording of the group’s new DVD in Brazil is under negotiation. The dates in South America will run from November 5 to 22 and in the first half of December.
