The Wailers band makes another vocalist change! More details at Surforeggae!
"The Wailers Band", who accompanied Bob Marley in his career and sold more than 250 million albums worldwide, has a new vocalist. The nucleus of the band was created in 1960 when Bob Marley, Bunny Wailer and Peter Tosh recruited brothers Aston (bass) and Carlton (drums) Barrett to play with them. Two years later, Peter and Bunny left the group, and Marley maintained its leadership until his death in 1981. After Marley, vocalists such as Junior Marvin, Gary "Nesta" Pine, Akila Barrett, Young Lion and more recently Elan Matias, who was highly criticized by fans all over the world, have passed through the group. The band recently announced its new singer, whose name is Koolant, a young Jamaican musician who until then had a solo career. In fact, the only original "Wailer" in the band remains the bass wizard - Aston "Family Man" Barrett, who occasionally receives reinforcement from other Marley-era players such as Glen Dacosta (sax) and Earl "Wya" Lindo (organ).
