Johnny B. Good store celebrates 25 years in style with international show in São Paulo!

The famous Loja Johnny B. Good celebrates 25 years of existence at a party to be held on October 22nd at São Paulo. In this celebration, which will be the first in a series of upcoming events, the special guest will be one of the biggest Jamaican names of all time - Max Romeo. The store in the center of São Paulo has become a mandatory stop for all national bands starting their careers and also for international artists passing through the city. Unfortunately, everyone was far from the charisma, joy and contagious smile of João Carlos (Johnny) in 2011, as he succumbed to the cancer he had been fighting for some years. Currently the store is managed by members of Leões de Israel, a band that Johnny managed. It will be a day to be remembered by every regueiro. Max Romeo will perform a special show for this celebration, going through all the phases of his career, from Ska, Rocksteady, to the songs that are still successful today, such as "War ina Babylon", "Chase the Devil", among others. The band Leões de Israel, as expected, is the other attraction of the night, and will be celebrating 11 years of career, with a more than special participation. Solano Jacob, who was the band's first vocalist and is now pursuing a solo career, will sing songs like "Filhos Rebeldes" and "Me Gwaan", the latter track which became known in Jamaica after the group's performance at Festival Rebel Salute. Throughout the night, DJing will be provided by Jurassic Sound System who plays 100% of the songs straight from vinyl. Reggae classics will be played by this project that travels throughout South America in always very lively presentations. To commemorate and document the celebration, a DVD of the event will be recorded, so hurry as tickets are limited to the venue's capacity.
