Banda Semente da Paz, from Salvador, has just released its first music video entitled “Inna Babylon”, while it is already preparing news for 2012. Now the band is led by Daniel Pontual (Zabah Bush) after the departure of vocalist Mario Marauak.
The next CD “Brilho de Zion”, which is already being recorded, features Midnite vocalist Vaughn Benjamin, on the song “Fyah Burning”.
"Semente da Paz is not just a band, but a musical community, where all the musicians who worked on the project had and have the opportunity to live this experience together. With the rotation of members, the opportunity is created for musicians to see, hear, play and feel music from different angles. Semente da Paz stands out for the strong personification of a mystical energy, represented on the stage, but seen as an altar, in which everyone participates in this exaltation of songs and praises in redemption, but its main peculiarity is the fact that we only play our own and original songs”, said Daniel.
"The CD Brilho de Zion is the result of 10 years of work with reggae music, experienced intensely. The new songs portray an apocalyptic moment and global crisis, talk about the implementation of a single system of government (the new world order) and the planning of its maintenance and adaptation to new historical moments in society, but at the same time, it leaves a strong message of hope and struggle to achieve victory, through the striking inspiration of a unique, loving God, pious and fair. Jah Rastafari. The songs are surrounded by a feeling, which translates and refers to the suffering and hope of an oppressed people who suffer and struggle to continue living, in the face of so much discrimination and exploitation”, adds the band leader.
The band's first official music video was produced independently and directed by Tiago Amorim. The lyrics of the song “Inna Babylon” talk about the fall of empires, from the Tower of Babel, built by Nimrod: Babylon, the Egypt of the pharaohs, the destruction of Rome and the fall of the United States of America.
