The sands of Praia de Piatã in Salvador will receive the good vibes of Reggae Music Festival, a show that takes place on September 1st, starting at 5pm, and brings together 12 of the biggest international, national and local names of the genre. In addition to the American Groundation, known to the Bahian public, the singer Siddy Ranks and, for the first time in Bahia, the group The Abyssinians, from Jamaica, as well as the British Geoffrey Chambers, are confirmed as international attractions.
Among the Brazilians, the São Paulo bands from Mato Seco and Leões de Israel, the Alagoans from Vibrações, and the locals, the Bahians from the groups Adão Negro, Diamba, Scambo, Ed Vox and Zimbabwe Roots.
With a mega sound and lighting structure, Reggae Music Festival has ample parking, bars throughout the area, a food court and reinforced security. The event marks the end of Surf Eco Festival, an international surfing competition, which takes place in the last week of August, in Jaguaribe.
The show is held by Champ Produções e Eventos and is sponsored by the Government of Bahia, through Fazcultura, Skol, Petrobras and support from Azul Linhas Aéreas.
