ZUMBI VIVE! The festival's 5th edition strengthens Afro culture in Brazil with workshops, talks and reggae shows!

With the aim of contributing to society's awareness of the importance of Black Awareness Month, Festival Zumbi Vive reaches its 5th edition; the event is already part of the official calendar of the state government and enables the public to come into contact with Afro-Brazilian culture, keeping alive the ideals of the Black leader Zumbi dos Palmares.

This year the event will take place on November 08 and 10, 2012, with on 08/11 the Lecture Cycle: Affirming effective Actions - Music and Social transformation; workshop and cultural presentation by the Grupo de Puxada de rede formed by PETI students, starting at 17h at Teatro Linda Mascarenhas and on 10/11, closing the activities, there will be a presentation by Liga Alagoana Feminina de capoeira and shows with the bands Vibrações, Irmandade Roots, Reggaessencia, Nhadeara, NSC , starting at 17h at Praça Multieventos- Pajuçara.

Banda Vibrações together with Quilombo Produções and some partners will hold Festival Zumbi Vive for the second consecutive year entirely FREE, open to the public.
