Volkswagen, the famous German car brand, recently recorded a commercial with the great Jamaican reggae icon, Jimmy Cliff. The first time the commercial will air will be this Sunday, February 3rd during the opening of the Super Bowl, American football championship. In two versions, one lasting 1 minute and 40 seconds and the other lasting around 1 minute, the commercial will be shown during EUA's most expensive TV time, which is precisely the opening of the aforementioned sporting event. A 30-second spot on the schedule can cost up to 3.5 million dollars.

It is expected that more than 90 million people will see the commercial (on Youtube, even before its premiere, it already has more than 3 million and 500 thousand views). One of the brand's representatives explained that the idea of ​​using the Jamaica as a theme came with the aim of exalting national pride and the joy of living, and the Jamaica, despite its small size, is seen as an example in the most diverse fields, whether in sport or in the arts and music and above all an example of happy people who face life's problems with good humor.
