The last few days have been full of expectations for the reggae world. This is all because Bob Marley's official Facebook page released a video with the title "Marley Natural", and with the curious question: "Are you Ready?" (Are you ready?)
The answer would finally come yesterday, November 18th, and the surprise shook the planet, and of course, it bothered the most conservative, after all, the Marley Family has just launched the "Marley Natural" brand on a global scale, which will, from 2015, sell products made from cannabis, or marijuana as it is popularly known.
...to unleash our creativity, to encourage our reflection, and as a cure for the nation."
(Bob, one of the biggest advocates of legalization)
In the United States, cannabis is legal for recreational use in some states such as Colorado and Washington, and can also be consumed with a prescription in several others.
The brand is betting on the international trend towards the legalization of the plant and represents the continuation of the fight that Bob Marley himself began in the 70s as one of its great defenders, alongside other icons such as the late Peter Tosh.

The video above emphasizes the positive power of cannabis for mental and physical health, and reinforces:
...to unleash our creativity, to encourage our reflection, and as a cure for the nation."
THE PRODUCTION
From cultivation, production and packaging, everything will be the responsibility of the group that has private investors in the United States, the first country that will sell the brand. Everything is used for cannabis, from its own consumption to clothing and other accessories. "Marley Natural" will be the first global cannabis brand and will produce and sell heirloom cannabis (a species of herb grown in Jamaica), creams and lotions obtained from the plant and, as already mentioned, limited edition clothing and accessories made from the herb fiber, all inspired by Bob Marley's style.
