Frederick Thomaz, better known as "Fat String", is a renowned guitarist from Kingston, Jamaica. Among his many projects, he is especially noted for the period when he was part of the iconic vocal trio Culture, during the Lion Rock album phase, considered one of the group's finest.
Fat String has also guested on works with Garth Dennis, Junior Reid, Don Carlos and Black Uhuru — with whom he was in Brazil in 2010 — and has recorded with Lee Perry on the song "Down In A Babylon". The artist was in Brazil in 2010 and 2011, where he performed more than twenty shows across the country and also filmed a music video for the song "Dem a Gwan Like".

Now in 2015, Fat String returns to Brazil to take part in the "Reggae Brasil Tour", running from April 18 to May 30, featuring the bands Filosofia Reggae Original and Rebel Roots.CONFIRMED DATES
