Despite the crisis and the rise of the dollar, reggae continues to show its strength in the country. Major news and shows have been happening. SESC in São Paulo has bet heavily on this and recently brought names like Wailing Souls and Barrington Levy for historic shows. Without a doubt, fans of good old Jamaican roots reggae will now rejoice at this news. The vocal trio The Mighty Diamonds, one of the few still active in their original lineup, is confirmed for Brazil in September. The first confirmed date is September 5 in São Luís (Maranhão), and more shows in other cities are expected. The show will take place at Choperia Marcelo with participation from several local sound system DJs such as Power Disco, Junior Black, Jorge Black and Mega Vibes.
