Hailing from Maringá (PR), where they formed, Afrodizia settled in Itanhaém (SP), and their sound blends the essence of Jamaican reggae with the character of Brazilian music. With two international tours across Europe, the band's résumé includes more than 50 shows in countries such as France, Slovenia, Switzerland, and Austria, taking part in some of the continent's leading summer festivals.

REGGAELIZAÇÃO

The band is currently preparing its latest release, titled "Reggaelização", produced by Junior Marvin (legendary Bob Marley guitarist) and Michael Ruzitschka, a rising talent in Brazilian music. Featuring 16 new tracks, "Reggaelização" is more than an album—it is the cornerstone of a peace culture movement proposed by the band, connecting the world through music.

The album already has confirmed appearances from Luciano (Jamaica), Rica Newell (Jamaica), Dean Fraser (Jamaica), Junior Marvin (Jamaica), Carlinhos Brown (Brazil), Chico César (Brazil), Quique Neira (Chile), Queen Omega (Trinidad), Peetah Morgan (USA), Big Mountain (USA), Pato Banton (UK), Isiah Shaka (France), Lord Alajiman (Senegal), Ombre Zion (Senegal), Young Mbazo (South Africa), I-Dren Artstrong (Philippines), and House of Shem (New Zealand), with representatives from every continent. The project is scheduled for release in February 2016. Meanwhile, Afrodizia has prepared a series of track-by-track videos that will be released monthly, showcasing the entire recording process and testimonials from the project.
