República of Reggae 13 anos! Maior festival of América Latina confirmsdo in novembro!

The most anticipated event of the year for reggae lovers now has a confirmed date. República do Reggae is celebrating 13 years since its first edition in 2003, which drew thousands of people to Ipitanga Beach. This time, the event is confirmed in Salvador on Saturday, November 19. The venue will be announced soon.

A STORIED LEGACY

Some of the biggest names in the genre from Brazil and around the world have graced the festival stage. Artists such as Gregory Isaacs, Bunny Wailer, U-Roy, The Congos, SOJA, Israel Vibration, Groundation, Lucky Dube, Alpha Blondy, Dezarie, Midnite, Natiruts, Ponto de Equilíbrio, Tribo de Jah, Mato Seco, Vibrações, Edson Gomes, Adão Negro and many others have delighted the famous reggae nation at what is the largest and most traditional reggae festival in Latin America.

WHAT'S NEW IN 2016

This year will bring some changes to the festival dynamics. The Palco Resistência, dedicated to emerging bands that keep fighting throughout the year, will feature some acts chosen through public voting over the coming weeks. In selecting the main stage lineup (to be announced soon), the event production also sought to get as close as possible to its audience and ran several polls on its official Facebook page.
