The Marley hegemony at the Grammys is nothing new, and it has displeased many artists in Jamaica for some time. The headline "Sem Surpresas" of the news is unfortunately not in a positive sense, because regardless of the quality of the album presented, the chance of one of the Marley brothers taking the prize is enormous compared to the others.
Veteran artists have increasingly spoken out in their shows and through social networks about the fact, but apparently that has not made the committee change its mind.

Ziggy Marley has just won his 4th award in 10 years, this being the artist's eighth (seven in the "best reggae album" category). The self-titled album "Ziggy Marley" was recognized at the award ceremony that took place on February 12 in the United States.
This time the nominees also drew attention, since 3 of the 6 names competing were American reggae artists or bands.
This time the eldest son of the king of reggae competed with Sly & Robbie, J Boog, Raging Fyah, Rebelution and SOJA, respectively with their albums "Sly & Robbie Presents... Reggae For Her", "Rose Petals", "Everlasting", "Falling Into Place" and "SOJA: Live in Virginia".
The album "Ziggy Marley" is available on the main digital platforms.
