Farewell to Donovan Mckitty, guitarist of legendary band Steel Pulse! See it on Surforeggae!

Steel Pulse guitarist Donovan "Macka-T" Mckitty passed away on August 1st (Tuesday). He was born in Kingston, Jamaica and got into music early, falling in love with Rock and Blues as a teenager. Besides Steel Pulse, Donovan performed with a series of Jamaican reggae celebrities such as Marcia Griffiths, Beres Hammond, Dennis Brown, Judy Mowatt, Frankie Paul, Barrington Levy, Carlene Davis and Gregory Issacs. He also recorded Burning Spear's album "Jah is Real" (2008), which won the Grammy for Best Reggae Album that year.
