SP REGGAE FEST! Event brings music, reggae culture and strong female engagement!

The Associação Nacional Reggae presents SP Reggae FEST, a festival that seeks to strengthen reggae and Rastafari culture through its most varied elements: bands, soundsystem, nyahbinghi, capoeira, women's poetry and jam sessions. On stage, 6 bands will perform, in addition to soundsystems formed only by women. There will be 5 selectors and 10 vocalists. The day starts at 10h00 with Capoeira Angola, followed by bands and soundsystems from 12h. The day ends with a Nyahbinghi circle led by R.U.F. (Rastafari United Front) Brasil. The poetic interventions will be carried out by the Frente de Mulheres da Associação Nacional Reggae and Coletivo Kandakes Kush, a working group that promotes reflection on gender issues from a feminist perspective and aims to promote specific actions that strengthen female protagonism.
