True music is timeless, its appeal never ends. Beres Hammond for more than 30 years gave his unmistakable voice to fans and guaranteed lifelong memories. With his newest album, "Never Ending", his first since his Grammy nomination in 2012, Beres presents 14 songs on themes of love and life, with the collaboration of longtime partners; Willie Lindo, Kirk Ben-nett, Handel Tucker, Errol "Flabba" Carter, Leroy and David Heywood, aka "Mafia and Fluxy", Winston "Bopee" Bowen, Dean Fraser and Robbie Lyn, among others. The first single from Never Ending, “I’m Alive,” produced by Hammond, is an uncomplicated affirmation of life and a song of praise to the Creator. The video was filmed at various Kingston locations, including Hammond's Harmony House Studio. Directed by RD Studios, several Jamaican artists appear with Hammond and Harmony House Band in the video, including Alborosie, Jah Cure, Christopher Martin, Jesse Royal, Romain Virgo, Shenseea and producers Kurt Riley and Teflon Zinc Fence. Born in Annotto Bay, St. Mary, Jamaica, on August 28, 1955, Hammond's career began in the early 1970s as the lead singer of the band Zap Pow. From his earliest releases, his delivery embodied the spiritual fervor of Sam Cooke, the romantic legal and social consciousness of Marvin Gaye, and the passion of Otis Redding. The aforementioned American music icons profoundly influenced Hammond, as did veteran Jamaican singers Ken Boothe, Leroy Sibbles and the late king of rock Alton Ellis.
