Iconic Jamaican music producer Bobby Digital died last Thursday, May 21, at age 59. He was one of the most successful figures in dancehall and reggae and suffered from kidney failure that required him to undergo weekly hemodialysis.
Robert “Bobby Digital” Dixon became famous for work with artists such as Shabba Ranks, Sizzla, Garnett Silk, Buju Banton, Cocoa Tea and Morgan Heritage.

Many of these artists achieved their first hit through him. He earned the nickname "Digital" in the 1980s from fellow professional Bunny Lee (also a music producer). Bobby began his career as a sound engineer alongside the legendary King Jammy.
Bobby Digital leaves a wife, three children and two grandchildren.
