RastaLiveTour! JAH I RAS gets ready for another release! Learn more!
Next September 7th at 4pm the band JAH I RAS is preparing for the release of a new work. Like a tree with strong roots, JAH I RAS continues to mature and produce good and new fruits for National Reggae music. Amid strong global transformations due to COVID-19, the situation in the music business has worsened brutally. Several musicians of all genres started to perform their performances solely in formats of Lives on digital platforms, and literally passing the hat, resisted during these almost two years of pandemic. It was in this context, in partnership with executive producer Beatriz Barros, that the band JAH I RAS developed the project "#RastaLiveTour", a notice awarded by the Municipal Department of Culture, São Paulo City Hall and the Federal Government with resources coming from the Aldir Blanc Law. The project included a series of four lives and a conversation broadcast on the band's official YouTube, where Ras Kadhu orchestrates the musicians in varied formats, traveling between organic and acoustic textures, Reggae Roots, Dub and Soundsystem. I believe that our audience was very surprised by the results of these lives, as we were positively able to diversify our musicality into different versions and innovate with something new with each performance. We did several reinterpretations of our own songs and the new formats were incredible.”, says Ras Kadhu. One of these actions was the conversation about production with Rafael Costa (Surforeggae), Beatriz Barros, Rafael Paz (Unit 76), Ras Kadhu and Gabriel Trevisan, which is well worth checking out. The "kitchen" of JAH I RAS had the support of "Rise n’ Shine Band", by Lincoln Breddah (Bass), Douglas Earl (Drums), Rafael Senegal (Keyboards) and Werner Argolo (Keyboards). The backing vocals were performed by sisters Estela and Eloiza Paixão. Gabriel Trevisan, the band's guitarist, signed the audio production of the lives by Selo Fértil. Behind the cameras, audio and video production partnerships were made with Arica Films, Flávio Multiman, Brew Music, Selo Fertil, Hataka Estudios, Sain and Sebo dos Alquimistas.
