More and more Rasta! Learn more about Ras Kadhu's new EP in partnership with Gustah!

Few reggae music artists still hold firm to the focus of their mission and their commitment to consciousness and their roots, the market, debts and consumerism do not wait and are more urgent than real information. Ras Kadhu, with his more than twenty year career, continues his work in the resistance. This is very clear on the EP "Cada e mais Rasta". Kadhu, the front line and voice of the band JAH I RAS, teamed up with producer Gustah to once again make music inspired by art, the jungle, the strength of Ayahuasca, the Nyahbinghi consciousness and message of the Rastafarians, in a more acoustic atmosphere, with sounds of nature, drums, maracas, guitars, melodicas, and various electronic elements that synthesize organic elements. "Increasingly Rasta" was not a planned album, but an inspiration that happened through Gustah's friendship with Ras Kadhu. The entire creative process developed during the pandemic phase in 2021, in fact, the entire EP was recorded and produced in just over a month. It is worth commenting on the EP's repertoire, which has two new songs: "Cada Vez mais Rasta" and "Competição", and two reinterpretations of the band JAH I RAS, "Cultura Ancestral" and "Selassie I Vive". Ras Kadhu recorded the voices, guitars, drums, maracas and Gustah the basses and other synthetic elements. Among the invited musicians, the following participated: Gustavo Camargo (7-string guitar) and Paulinho Cortesi (Transverse flute), both musicians from the Banda do Claro do Céu de Maria, founded by the famous cartoonist Glauco Vilas Boas and his son Raoni. Thomas Alexander, from the band Restart, recorded the guitars in "Cultura Ancestral", executive produced by Beatriz Barros (Adowa Produção).
