Jamaican artist Kabaka Pyramid won the race for the Grammy for best reggae album of 2022. Judging by the millions of positive comments on social media, it seems that this time the award ended up in good hands.

The artist beat Koffee, Protoje, Sean Paul, and Shaggy, the latter two being Grammy winners in 2003 and 2018 respectively. Kabaka's album "The Kalling" was produced by Damian Marley, and the winner dedicated the award to Jo Mersa Marley, Stephen's son and Damian's nephew, who tragically passed away at the end of last year due to an asthma attack.
