An international group of scientists unearthed in Ethiopia fossils dating back 160,000 years, which are being considered the oldest representatives of modern man. For scientists, the fossils of two adults and one child are the missing link to explain human evolution. They would have lived in a period between African hominids, which emerged three million years ago, and the first modern humans. The discovery strengthens the theory that man arose and evolved in Africa before spreading across the planet.
