Festival celebrates Brazilian mix in Jamaican rhythm!

O Circuito Brasil Reggae Festival promotes the union of the diverse faces of Brazilian culture and brings to São Paulo the last major reggae show of the year. On the upcoming 6th, Espaço das Américas, in São Paulo, welcomes Brazilian reggae artists to celebrate the release of the CD Circuito Reggae 4. About 15 hours of live music are being organized in a venue that includes a food court, craft fairs, talks, and performances by groups that carry out social work through music.

The hosts are well represented by PLANTA & RAIZ, an already established band that promises a show full of surprises as they are about to release their new CD; ARKAYA, which is emerging with full force; EXPRESSÃO REGUEIRA, popular on the São Paulo circuit but increasingly conquering their place on the national scene; LEÕES DE ISRAEL, who bring Rastafari Reggae as the most expressive means of fighting oppression; FILOSOFIA REGGAE, with their influences from samba, MPB, black music and blues; AFETOS, with their messages of friendship and unity; and MOTIVO DE CHACOTA, who hit the road from the countryside to the capital of São Paulo and promise to be the biggest source of fun for the audience.

NETO TRINDADE and Bando da Lua come with their Forreggae'n Roll style, acquired during beach luau days in Trindade (RJ). From the marvelous city, Circuito Brasil Reggae Festival also brings RAIZ DO SANA, with their forró rastapé; PONTO DE EQUILÍBRIO, a band full of ideologies that brings the sound of the carioca suburb of Vila Izabel; and NOÇÃO RASTA, who, besides their own songs, include covers of Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and Alpha Blondy in their repertoire.

From Espírito Santo, HERANÇA, a band that has finally reached a consensus on the choice of name and is now preparing to record their first CD, and SALVAÇÃO, one of the main drivers behind the spread of capixaba music. The Distrito Federal shows that it also makes reggae music and sends SAMUEL LILA ROOTS. The band VIBRAÇÕES RASTA leaves, for a few days, the beaches of Maceió to bring their messages and desires for social transformation to São Paulo reggae fans. JOHNNY JACK MESCLADO comes from Manaus to promote the first CD: 'Que Jah abençoe', released in March.

Circuito Brasil Reggae Festival will, however, be a gathering of friends who share the same dreams and ideologies; musicians who believe in the philosophy created by king Bob Marley, and who want to show the world the pride of being Brazilian.
