Neto Trindade and Bando da Lua finish 3rd at the Transamérica Festival!
This year has truly been a year of many surprises for the band Neto Trindade e o Bando da Lua. In November they won the breakthrough band award at Expresso Brasil with a show for more than 14,000 people, covered by 89FM. And the surprises do not stop there: the band was also one of the 7 finalists of the major Semp Toshiba Transamérica Festival, out of more than 635 registered bands. The final with the 7 bands took place at DirecTV Music Hall on 12/01/2003 with a live broadcast across Brazil. We asked Robson Martins, the band's bassist, what he thought of this festival:
"Being one of the finalists was already a huge victory! Making it among the 7 bands to play in the final out of 635 entries, damn! Pretty wild! Winning 3rd place then? It was really great, we were one of the most applauded bands of the day, that makes us very happy and grateful!"
