Tribute to Bob Marley at Adler draws crowds for performances by the biggest bands of the national circuit!
Hello Surforeggae fans! First of all, we would like to begin this coverage with an apology to the bands To Fly, Sensimilla, Expressão Regueira and their respective fans, as our team got stuck in chaotic "São Paulo under construction". We underestimated the traffic and were considerably late. Another factor was the Labor Day celebration events being held by the city hall on Av. Paulista and at Campo de Bagatelli, in the north zone of São Paulo. Well, let's move on.

MYSTICAL ROOTS

We arrived at Adler, Vinhedo, for yet another Bob Marley Tribute coverage. As always, the audience showed up in force, and the excursions come from farther and farther away. The atmosphere was very relaxed, and we witnessed no friction throughout the event. When we positioned ourselves to begin the coverage, the stage was taken by the crew from Mystical Roots. Already without Luciana on vocals, now fully handled by Júnior, the band doesn't lose its edge and really fires up the crowd. Songs like "Amarelô", "Secret Blue" and "Pras Bandas de Lá", which is featured on the soap opera "Da Cor do Pecado", are already familiar to the audience and, consequently, the reception is incredible (photo). Heavy covers were on their set list, such as "Steppin Out" by Steel Pulse. After a great performance, it was time for reggae from Bahia: Adão Negro.

ADÃO NEGRO

With many fans present and many hits up their sleeve, it takes almost nothing to send the audience into ecstasy. When the first notes of songs like "Botar Um" and "Feed Back" are played, the crowd's response is immediate. Somewhat "surprising" covers were also dropped. And wouldn't you know it - "Smell like teen Spirit" by Nirvana and "Santaria" by Sublime got the crowd going? A high point of the show was undoubtedly the overplayed but always powerful "Redemption Song" (photo). After Adão's hard-hitting reggae, it was time for the band Raízes Rasta.

RAÍZES RASTA

Already with a loyal audience, this is another band that only needs to play "properly", because vocalist Felipe can even skip singing a passage, and it is immediately replaced by a chorus of hundreds of voices (photo). Songs from the latest album "Atitude" are already on everyone's lips. "Sentimento Rasta", "Atitude" and the big hit "Luz do Sol", which is being played on several Brazilian radio stations, drive the energy throughout Raízes Rasta's performance. Among covers of the king, they played "Could You Be Loved". Now Planta & Raiz prepares to take the spotlight.

PLANTA & RAIZ

Well, there isn't much to say about "Planta". Barely does Zeider appear in the dark surrounded by smoke, and Adler, with nearly 8,000 people, goes wild. The old hits remain strong and the new songs from the new album are already widely known. Imagine now that the song "A Dois Passos do Paraíso" is one of the most requested videos by MTV audiences? Imagine that? The answer is non-stop chorus! The band delivered its show with mastery and great reception from start to finish (photo). Well, now the "fun" gets serious. Ponto de Equilíbrio takes the stage.

PONTO DE EQUILÍBRIO

This band's performance is always very strong and expressive. Hélio Bentes, with his unique performance (photo), leaves everyone spellbound. The tribal instrumentation, the heavy and striking bass, the vocals - everything evokes a journey into the idea the lyrics want to convey. "Árvore do Reggae" starts with a bang! The hits from "Ponto" make even the quietest person move (photo). "Aonde vai Chegar", "Ponto de Equilibrio" and the king's cover "Soul Rebel" make this one of the best performances Surforeggae has attended. The band Salvação was last on the list, and took the stage to close the night.

SALVAÇÃO

Even with some people leaving, who came exclusively to see "Ponto" or "Planta", the venue remained full for the performance of this band from Espírito Santo called Salvação. It seems the organizers chose a cast of "audience champions", as the crowd sang practically every song from ALL the bands. Hits like "Os Dias", "Cara Metade", "Pra Variar", etc., drain the last sources of energy from people who had already been "on duty" for more than 10 hours! The band did its job very well and closed with a golden key (photo) this Kawipy event, which besides featuring many quality bands, had what mattered most: No serious incidents of violence! Peace and security from start to finish. Congratulations to the organizers and all the backstage professionals who make the success of an event of this scale possible. To finish, we leave everyone with the wonderful sunset of the city of Amparo-SP, where the team stopped to write the article and rest (photo). Until next time (photo).
