Surforeggae throws a party in Embu-Guaçu with Roots Rock Reggae, Ska, Rocksteady, Dub and more!

To celebrate our independence and Renato's birthday, Surforeggae's programmer, we're throwing a party that no Jamaican music lover could find fault with. We'll be bringing nothing less than: DubVersão Sistema de Som, a psychedelic take on the Jamaican rhythm. São Paulo's most independent reggae scene will perform at an appropriate venue in the south of São Paulo. A place where trees mark the spot, a reservoir keeps the atmosphere going and birds lavishly show off the effects. That's right, the first DUB party in the woods! And as the DubVersão crew themselves recommend: MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME! Inspired by the sound systems that emerged in Jamaica in the early 1970s (when people came together to set up a "sound system" in the streets), DUBVERSÃO celebrates the spirit of fellowship in this form of urban intervention.
