DubVersão, welcome in — so began and ended Renato Surforeggae's big birthday party!

The sound system was set up and the DUB began. The "heavy tracks" dominated the venue, and for those who enjoy good reggae the place was perfect: great music accompanied by roots lighting with candles and torches, a farm by a lake where a light mist gave a mysterious touch to the setting. It was exactly in this setting isolated from civilization that DUB rolled all night long.
The event was marked by peace and interaction among the crowd. Friends, even without much knowledge of this type of music, gradually loosened up, and reggae took over. The DubVersão Sistema de Som crew, hired for the DJ set, is made up of Yellow P, Magrão, Cristopher, Corpo Santo, Bigodon and Massa Rock. Third-world rhythms began invading the ears of the most attentive and psychedelic listeners. It was normal and funny to see conversations abruptly interrupted by the devastating intros of Dennis Brown, Hugh Lewis, Althea and Donna, etc.
The chronological order of rich Jamaican music was disoriented by roots rock reggae, dancehall, rocksteady, ska, DJs and singers. In short, everything was perfect and any resemblance to that party in the film Rockers is no mere coincidence. Day breaks, and those who went may have seen perhaps the first Dub "rave" in São Paulo. May there be more to come!
