After the appearance of Scambo, Sensimilla Dub, Bento Fubenca and Adão Dãxalebaradã, it was Diamba's turn!
Formed eight years ago, the band is made up of seven university students who play music entirely inspired by Jamaican rhythms, and has just gained space on MTV's website in the Banda Nova section. The only broadcaster free of national music opens its site to promote new bands, showing a bit of each one's identity.

The band has the opportunity to showcase its members, discography, a bit of its press release and of course the music video. The result of the promotion can be seen through a forum where internet users comment on the featured video track. This forum helps the MTV team rank bands by number of comments, an access RANKING — the more visits, the more prominence.

In the UPDATES section, you can discover the latest registered bands, and in the search section you can browse by category, that is: Name, band bio or musical style, making it easier to choose what you want to discover. With great originality, the DICAS DO CLEMENTE section comes to assist beginner bands. It is a column written by Clemente Nascimento (vocalist of Inocentes and music producer).

The column is updated biweekly and Clemente covers everything from simpler topics like rehearsals and press releases to more bureaucratic matters like GRA, ECAD, OMB. He clarifies questions such as "How to record in an analog or digital studio", working materials, song registrations... in short, there will always be a tip that interests you directly.

It is worth clarifying that there is no intention of running a music school via the Internet — if you are looking for someone talking about chords, arpeggios, guitar solos, or how to achieve easy success, forget it! The goal of this column and the MTV BANDA NOVA section is to make the path less arduous, and to help those who believe in their work to move it forward, learn to self-produce and understand how the professional musician's universe works.

No matter what style of sound your band plays, the tips will always be about common problems for all bands at the beginning of their career. The important thing is that now, beginner bands have one more space to promote their work, and any space must be celebrated.
