As mentioned inpast matter, Atlântica Beer is already one of the main entertainment options for people who enjoy the reggae or forró movement. The attendance at the house was above normal for the last night of February 25th, as the roots reggae band, Ponto de Equilíbrio, would bring their message and infectious sound. Good for the other bands that were able to benefit from such an audience and promote their work, likeGuinea grass, which opened the night's performances.
The show was practically the same, and the reaction of the public was also the same, as they danced from beginning to end to a repertoire full of forró hits. Afterwards, to the surprise of those who didn't know the band, theCarraspanagives an excellent presentation. They impress with their posture on stage, vocal power and very competent instrumentals. Right away, the great Dagô Miranda and his Radical Roots are remembered with the hit "Principal". From there it was clear that the band had its cards up its sleeve... and they really did.
Carraspana's own sounds, such as "Semente native" and "Levante-se lute!", have great acceptance among the crowd, but in the covers the band went further. "BellyFull" by the Gladiators, "Soul Rebel" and "War" by Bob Marley are just a few examples of how Carraspana knew how to catch people by their "weak point". Great applause, the band is already confirmed for next week with Planta & Raiz and Edu Ribeiro & Cativeiro.
The time has come forBalance Point. The concentration of people in front of the stage was enormous, all to see the
accentuated performance by Hélio Bentes and his band. Still promoting their latest album, "Reggae a Vida com Amor", the band has a powerful show throughout. It is undeniable that Ponto is today, even in the independent scene, one of the main names in reggae in Brazil, and this is clear with the uninterrupted choirs of the crowd throughout its setlist, whether classic or not. "Jah Jah Me Leve", for example, has an unusual strength, and added to the stage posture of the boys from Vila Isabel, the experience is even more touching.
"Rastafará" and "Ponto de Equilíbrio" also received a unique reception. To make Atlântica Beer go down, all it took was the first chords of "Aonde Vai Chegar?" or "Reggae Tree". This is just the beginning of Ponto de Equilíbrio's beautiful trajectory, which with great humility (those who know it, know) has been establishing itself in the disputed national reggae scene. For those who are left with "I want more", the band will be on February 26th at KVA. In partnership with Surforeggae, in a few days we will be launching a special promotion. Stay tuned!
We still had the presentation of theForrópoeira. There are those who said that after the night's highlight performance, there would be no audience for the band's forró. Whoever said that was wrong... and they made a big mistake. Many people stayed, and with an enviable disposition to dance and enjoy the forreggae night at Atlântica Beer until its end. Until next time!
