Jamaican Gospel DJ decides to release a Roots Reggae album. Find out who is behind the news!
Reggae Roots, or "Roots Reggae" for some, is gaining space again in Jamaica. With the explosion of Dancehall and Raggamuffin on the Island, the style, or rather the "branch", was somewhat forgotten by new artists, previously dazzled by the success of the Ragga/Dancehall "duo".
With this rescue of traditional Reggae, which has been happening through initiatives of groups from the "new and old guard", DJ Gospel Bless, better known as "Prodigal Son", is planning to release an album at the end of the year with strictly "Roots" songs. "Still Standing", Bless's most recent album was quite successful, especially in the United States, and since that tour, the artist began singing songs in the "Roots" style, having according to him reached an audience never before sought.
Therefore, here is another promise of a good release for the end of the year, given the musical competence of the DJ. Negotiations are being made with an American label to manage the entire future career of "Prodigal Son". We just have to wait and see.
