Cidade do Reggae (102.9 FM) celebrates two years in May! Check this milestone here on Surforeggae!

Once again Cidade do Reggae continues its trajectory making history. Completing two years of existence this coming May 20th, Cidade is the only reggae program on the FM dial in Rio de Janeiro. It currently has a great audience also on the internet, where the program is already a reference for the reggae audience that grows every day.

The program is led by Da Gama, (guitarist of Cidade Negra) and DJ, journalist and music producer Fernando Costa. The program airs on Rádio Cidade (102.9 FM) in Rio de Janeiro. Along the lines of Embaixada Reggae, which the two presented from November 2002 until the beginning of 2003 on Fluminense FM, the initiative is to delve into the universe of reggae playing a lot of roots, raggamuffin, dancehall and, mainly, national reggae. Cidade do Reggae also opens up space for social projects and actions across the country.
