This time the São Paulo band Mosaico of the "lovers" style, in partnership with the radio stations Tropical FM, Surforeggae and América Music Instrumentos Musicais, brings the project Reggae do Cerrado to Açaí Praia, where members of important Brasília bands that make the history of reggae will come together in a jam Historic session on the Açaí stage.
Brasília, in addition to being the capital of the country, was the capital of rock for a long time in the 80s with Legião, Capital Inicial, Plebe Rude and Paralamas and with the explosion of the Natiruts regueiros it also became the capital of national reggae for a long time. In addition to the reputation of good musicians and good bands, Brasília also made history with excellent reggae bands, such as Maskavo Roots, current Maskavo, Alma D´jem among others who are keeping the reggae of the cerrado alive.
Here at São Paulo, for some time now Mosaico has been the band with great partnerships at shows around the capital of São Paulo, where they invite important names from the current scene to join them, it was like that with the gauchos from Chimarruts and Papas da Língua among many others, but now it's the turn of reggae that comes from the federal capital! The musicians invited to this Cerrado Jam Session are Prata guitarist from the band Maskavo, Quim drummer and backing vocalist also from the band Maskavo, Marcello Mira vocalist from Alma D´jem, Thiaguera bassist from Leões de Judah and also from the band Brasilia rock Amanita and finally, Marcelo Vourakis vocalist who made history as one of the main members of the extinct Maskavo Roots.
The members of Maskavo, Prata and Quim were responsible in part for the 1st CD of Mosaico in partnerships in the production and participation in some of the band's songs and from this friendship the two bands have already created together in Açaí in 2005 a super interesting social project that raised funds for a Buddhist institution that took care of the needy local community in the city of Cotia - SP. Now the purpose is different, joy and fun in the highest spirits of reggae, satisfying the longing for famous Maskavo Roots songs, as Prata, Quim and Marcelo Vourakis originally formed the band years ago before the departure of Vourakis and the entry of Marceleza, where the Maskavo Roots was renamed Maskavo.
In addition to, of course, hits such as Tempestade, Escotilha, RSF by Maskavo Roots in the voice of Vourakis, we will also have Marcello Mira vocals by Alma Djem singing the successful hits that hit the country, such as Amar Novamente, which is practically an anthem of regueiros which is on the band's 1st CD and the current Minha Voz and João from their latest work, accompanied by Thiaguera from Leões de Judah, a well-known cover band of Bob Marley that made history in Brasília and was the first reggae band in which Marceleza, current vocalist of Maskavo, also took part as a vocalist! This night is promising, as the recipe and ingredients for this party are perfect and many people will be able to see reggae idols from Brasília up close playing live, come check it out!
