Ten years of the band Adão Negro - event that will be held on July 8th at ROCK IN RIO CAFÉ SALVADOR from 9pm. A party commemorating a unique trajectory in our artistic scene. A band that founded its foundations in the ghettos of the great outskirts of the city of Salvador, creating, at the same time, a language that increasingly finds an echo in all sectors of society - not just the ghetto - and that transformed the band into one of the most respected in its segment throughout the country. The formula? Artistic competence combined with a carefully articulated speech in a militancy that goes beyond musical notes and political clichés. The result can be seen in this show, which will be a tour of the entire repertoire of the four albums and DVD. “Estabelecer uma carreira sólida e duradoura neste mercado fonográfico adverso, em meio a tantos artistas que aparecem e desaparecem sem deixar vestígios, é a prova de que o público sabe diferenciar o que é sério do que não é”, says vocalist Serginho Cassiano “. Parallel to all this, Sérgio Cassiano leaves on June 5th for Jamaica, where the promotion of CD "Vence Tudo - ao vivo" and DVD of Adão Negro begins, on the radio and TV's Jamaicanas. Na in the wake of this great moment for the band, the pre-production of the next CD. O begins, including three songs in English that aim to meet a growing demand for Brazilian reggae music on the international scene. An unimaginable leap for a band that started out doing rehearsals in Pelourinho at the “Novo Tempo” bar, a place that had already revealed great references of Bahian reggae such as “Morrão Fumegante”, Geraldo Cristal, as well as many others from the Cachoeira-Salvador.
