Adão Negro celebrates 10 years of success in Salvador with a sold-out show!
In 1996 the dream of some night musicians of Salvador came to come true. It was forming at the time “Adão Negro”, today considered as one of the most popular and successful bands of Reggae do Brasil. Após much struggle, dedication, commitment and stories to tell, the group could not leave the commemorative date of its ten years of existence blank. Therefore, it was celebrated on Saturday, July 8, 2006, the anniversary of the band Adão Negro. The group, which is already a national success, chose its “bub” (Salvador-BA) to celebrate this milestone in the career. The party took place at Rock in Rio Café Salvador e and invited the bands Moa Anbesa e Mosiah. The event, which had all its tickets sold, was opened with gold key by the band “Moa Anbesa”, special guest of the production of Adão Negro for the occasion. The Moa Anbesa (meaning Leão Conquistador em Ethiopian language), well known in the alternative scenario of Salvador e in Brasil played its main successes of its two CDs - “Experience” and “Moa Anbesa Lively”. Songs such as “Seed Shall Grow”, “Africa” and “Sweet Meditation” were very well received by the present audience. At the end of the show, the Rock in Rio Café e was almost full of people of all ages who were present to feel all the good vibrations of Reggae. The second special guest of the evening, the band “Mosiah”, also very well known in the scenario of Salvador heated the audience to the entrance of Adão Negro. The most striking feature in the Mosiah show was the presentation of several new songs, which were well received by their large faithful audience. With a resume of 4 CDs released (“Só diretoria”, “Adão Negro”, “Só Diretoria 2” and “Vence Tudo”) and 1 DVD (“Ao Vivo no República do Reggae”), the band Adão Negro went on stage for the delirium of their fans. Songs such as “Decente” and “Feedback” were euphorically sung by the audience that at times of the show came to overcome the sound system of Rock in Rio Café. The “Adão Negro” is preparing its next CD, which should include songs in English, aiming at career outside Brasil. The group also intends to make tracks with great wild beasts from Reggae, such as Andrew Tosh. Parabéns to the whole family Adão Negro, whether to members of the band, production or technique by raising the Reggae baiano to such amplitude and making more and more people interested in the rhythm and can enjoy the talent of musicians and bands from Bahia, Brazil and international.  Agradecimentos especial: Caribé to the technical staff, Rasta to the bands present and to all who made this event possible.
