Tribute to Reggae brings Ras Bernardo, first vocalist of Cidade Negra, for a performance at Espaço Andorinhas!

On November 14th, Groove Produções will hold a historic party at Espaço Andorinhas, at Praia de Itaipu, in Niterói. It's Groove Reggae, which this time will feature Ras Bernardo, the first vocalist of the band Cidade Negra, and the band Onda-R. The party Groove Reggae hopes to attract an audience of 7,000 people on this day. The opening act will be Ras Bernardo, who is in the pre-production phase of his second album. Since leaving Cidade Negra, Ras has recorded two albums – Jah é Luz! and Atitude Pátria. In the repertoire that will play at Groove Reggae, the vocalist selected hits from when he was with Cidade and also from his solo career. Among them will be the songs: Jah é luz; Falar a verdade; Abandonado; Mensagem; No morro não tem play; Gafanhoto; Transformai; Assassinatureza; Tente vc; Nada mudou; A lei and Concialiação. Another attraction of the night will be the band Onda – R, which is formed in the city of Niterói and has hits written by its own members on its album Alma. The group includes: Bira (voice), Daniel Drago (bass), Leandro Pacheco (drums), João Pompeu (keyboard) Cabelinho and Caesar Barbosa (guitars) and Maranhão (percussion). These guys play roots reggae at CD Alma. "The grooves are pure ´soul`. It's a beautiful, light, funny and conscious ´regueloves` album. They made me blow out my car speakers. Big grooves, loud chants! This album will take you to shocking places", explains bassist Daniel Drago. The repertoire will include the following songs: Regando a Alma; Filhos da África; Felina; Coisas Bonitas; Charuto de rasta; Fazer sofrer; Maria Juana; Jóia Rara; O mala and Esnobar Burguês. Groove Reggae will start with sound from the beginning. DJ Andread will start with “Reggae Party” before Ras Bernardo and Onda-R play.
