On the last day of March 17, SOJA arrives in Bragança to, if not the best tour show, its most special presentation, at least with regard to fans' receptiveness and expectation. The Surforggae team arrives to check out one of the most "insane" places in the interior of São Paulo, the "Galpa Busca Vida". It is a house with a super crafty and creative decoration, going from colored bottles on the wall to large dolls hanging from the ceiling. In addition to the delicious pizza served on site, the shodó of the region is the honey drip, which to describe here would be a waste of time... Just trying!
Soul Roots, which included SOJA songs in their repertoire, made regueiros of the region interested even more in the North American group. Taking on his own compositions and great successes from the national and international reggae, Soul Roots gave the tone of the night opening the stage with mastery to the Jah Army Soldiers.
In the last stories on SOJA, we made it clear the power and stage presence of the "boys", but the interesting of this matter now comes... the POST-SHOW! Who doesn't want to know what their favorite artists are like outside the field of action? For we had this privilege in Bragança Paulista from the end of SOJA's performance, which needs to be highlighted, made the wish of Daniel, vocalist of Soul Roots and one of the managers of the event, letting him sing the song "Rasta Courage", famous in the region due to the band Soul Roots itself.
We rented a large farm so that friends, producers and anyone else who wanted to arrive could spend Sunday with our deserved rest. SOJA arrived shortly afterwards to further brighten our meeting, and in it we could see how humble these boys are, always trying to interact with conversations, jokes and jokes, of course all watered to the very caipirinha brazil and very "reggae in the boxes" as Mighty Diamonds and Gladiators. At all times, we were pleased to see how hard each member worked to speak our language, and we were theirs. It was a great exchange of cultures!
I believe that everyone who attended was able to verify and prove something very important already mentioned by Jacob Hemphill, the band's lead singer, at the time of the visit of American President George W. Bush: - "Americans are like us... not like Bush!" that is, they showed a concern there to have the image of a whole people being distorted by authoritarian and non-pacifist attitudes of their greatest ruler. We want to thank Felipe "Vasenol" for his concern to resolve the issues of the farm, Israel for the detachment and commitment in the market (rs...), Daniel Soul Roots for staying in the front line of this event and all who have somehow made this great meeting possible, and that nearby international bands will feel the warmth of this famous Brazilian receptivity.
