In November of this year the band Christafari will come to Brazil as part of its world tour called "To The Foundation". The name came from the latest CD released in 2007 in Brazil by Bola Music. Mark Mohr, vocalist of the band Christafari, has been doing wonderful work in the United States and around the world, spreading gospel reggae and being a pioneer in this musical genre. The band has already played at two Olympic Games and even for the president of the United States of America. With the mixture of traditional reggae or "roots" and modern reggae or "dancehall reggae", Christafari proclaims a positive message of hope and salvation for a lost generation.
After almost two decades, the band remains at the forefront of gospel reggae music worldwide. In addition to Christafari, the tour will include artists such as Avion Blackman and Solomon Jabby. Avion Blackman won the award for best album and best female vocalist throughout the Caribbean in 2006. She will sing songs from her first album Onyinye. Solomom Jabby will sing songs from his latest album Firmly Planted. Christafari will be in Brazil between November 16 and 30, 2007. Dates to be confirmed.
